From talking to my friends, I feel that what people want from our leisure time is changing. After the lockdowns and all the WFH we want to get out and see the world. We spend so much time bent over our laptops that we long to get away from our desks to see the world and talk to people from other cultures who see things differently to us.

I can never understand why people do package holidays where they lie on a sun lounger and fry by the pool / sea for 7 days.

india is the place to go if want complete luxury after your outdoor adventures. Hotels are fantastic and the food is superb, I’ve never had a bad meal yet in india.

South Africa is another one of those incredibly diverse destinations – and no matter which corner you head to, you’re guaranteed to find a little bit of the wild. :)

There’s a little bit more to South Africa than you mention. If you do a safari in the Eastern Cape it’s not only about spotting The Big Five. You can also head out to sea in search of sharks and whales turning The Big Five into the Big Seven.
