Later our guide explained that as there hadn’t been much rain recently it wasn’t the best time of year to see the falls. Is there a peak season for seeing Iguazu at their most dramatic?

I’d heard that quote too and I’m almost 100% certain that it was Eleanor Roosevelt. It was an understandable comment as Iguazu is about 3 times higher than Niagara.

Iguazu is the sort of place where it pays to visit 2 or 3 times a day. You often get a different feel for a place at different times of the day and with different lights.
