We had two weeks in St Lucia in 2018 and absolutely loved it. We said that we’d return soon but history – in the form of the pandemic – changed things.

All of these places are a huge step-up from the sort of hotel we stayed in which can probably be only described as “budget”.

It would such a huge difference when we return to St Lucia to enjoy this sort of luxury.

In reply to Brett Gillingham. Before reading this post I knew very little about St Lucia. You've really sold the island and it's great hotels to me. I always say if you're going somewhere, especially if it's for the first time and you don't know what you're going to, you need to make sure you have a good experience and stay in a reliably good hotel.

Although I’ve never been to the Caribbean, I think that from what I’ve seen on TV and heard from some well-travelled friends, St Lucia is the island that’s calling me loudest. And this post only makes that call louder. I wouldn’t have to worry about finding a luxurious hotel that suits our needs. Thanks for some great advice.

There’s something excitingly tropical about open air suites. Having grown up in chilly and drizzly England, I really appreciate open air living.

From what I’ve read here I’m optimistic that BodyHoliday St Lucia will live up to the promise of its name, blending wellness with a holiday. I did one wellness programme which was far too like living in a monastery for my liking.

With all the hills, peaks and thick forest there’s a lot more drama to the St Lucia landscape than many of the other flatter islands that we’ve visited. What you’re also getting with some of these St Lucia hotels is great Caribbean views too.

I’ve always been a big fan of the Caribbean and enjoyed my one visit to the island. Taking a look at these hotels makes me think that it could be time for a return trip.
