Sadly, Brussels has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately, but hopefully the city can bounce back from terror just like other cites such as London and Madrid have done in the past. Pictured is one of the city’s main attractions – the main plaza in the heart of the Old Town, known as Grand Place, photographed at dusk with colourful lighting all around, reminding us of just what a vibrant and beautiful city Brussels is.

We have only passed through Brussels once, en route to Bruges. In the railway station, my wife’s purse was stolen from inside a zipped handbag which was inside a zipped travel bag! So we don’t really want to go there again…
Such a travesty to happen to such a beautiful place … I love this photograph, the colours highlight all the architecture !! …
That looks really fabulous. It’s not somewhere I would have thought of visiiting but now I’m interested.
What a fabulous photo of a beautiful, vibrant city
Am so looking forward to revisiting Brussels later on this year

What a beautiful sentiment to see! such a beautiful city and I hope people do not avoid it from now due to the atrocities!
As a Belgian native living in Central America, I’m convinced Brussels will bounce back from this episode.
It’s central location within Europe cannot be beat.
Beautiful picture of Brussels and a lot more to see than the grand place. If you stay in Belgium visit Brugge and Gent also.
Looking at this in 2019 makes me ask what happened to Brussels in 2016? And then I remembered hearing about the attacks on the news. And now, in the pandemic era, it makes me sadder to think beautiful places like this around the world stand empty. Part of the experience of traveling and visiting touristy places is the happy vibe of the crowd. You know they are there to have fun and to enjoy the views. And it shows, It permeates the air and makes other people happy as well. This is a beautiful photo and hopefully people can enjoy this again soon.
