This is much better as you’re seeing so much without all the tiring travel. I like the idea of unpacking only once and sun-bathing whilst the captain delivers me to the next port.

Not sure how the routine would work out sailing from Split to Dubrovnik.

Your fingers can do the browsing rather than walking round in the heat trying to find exactly what you want. And the wi-fi on board is more than good enough to check out websites and menus.

There were some real fitness fanatics on the cruise. They were hitting the mini-gym on the top deck early morning, doing hours of swimming and also hiring bikes in Korcula and Vis. One woman was dreading going back to work as she said it was the fittest she’d felt for years.

One of the problems with cruising is that you can miss out on the food in the towns and cities that you visit and the evening atmosphere too.
