I’m going to have to add Zavratnica to my ever-growing “Great places that I want to go diving list”! From what you write here it looks very promising.
Dear Ted, we hope that you will visit beautiful Zavratnica and dive there as it is amazing. We love that you find the blog interesting. :) Regards from Plitvice Lakes National Park.
I’ve always been a great believer in taking a holiday from your holiday. I’ve read a lot about Plitvice on ALTB and it looks great but having a day of two out, away from your base is usually a good experience. And if it doesn’t go well, it makes you appreciate your holiday base even more.
Dear Moya, thank you for the lovely comment. We are glad that you are our faithful reader and that you enjoy reading our blogs. We hope that you will visit us soon and explore the Park and surrounding area. :) Regards from Plitvice Lakes National Park.
We flew in, hired a car and explored this region by car a couple of years ago.
We gave ourselves 8 days but to be honest there was so much to see and do that we could have done with twice as much time.

Cycling is the way to get about. Car’s too fast and walking’s too slow. On top of that you’re fitting in your daily exercise whilst you take in the glorious countryside.
Dear Beth, we agree with you about cycling. It has a lot of benefits and in the area, there are a lot of wonderful trails to explore. We hope that you will visit the Park and surrounding area. :) Regards from Plitvice Lakes National Park.
It’s amazing that Zavratnica has such a turbulent history. Like many a place that has seen conflict you’d never know it as that picture makes it look so serene. It must be a real find for history lovers.
