  1. Yacht design never ceases to amaze me. That catamaran is quite revolutionary, not sure whether I like it or not.

    1. These things are often nothing more than initial concepts, but every now and again we do seem to end up with something that, once upon a time, closely resembles a much earlier concept… so I suppose you never know!

  2. It doesn’t take a crystal ball to predict that international travel will see a boom. After all the lockdowns and restrictions people have got cabin fever. They are desperate to get out and start seeing the world again.

    1. For sure, Julie… and whilst for some people, the last two years have been very tough financially (as well as emotionally), many others have actually saved money (on vacations, restaurants, etc.) so I’m confident that demand will still be very strong.

  3. Places like Cuba will do well once we get back to some sort of travel normality. The pandemic has caused people to stop and think, if they’ve been to Benidorm for the last dozen years having broken the habit they might begin to ask where else they can go which is more interesting.

    1. Very true, Gerald… I’ve seen many people that I think may fit the mould you describe holidaying in the Lake District this last year, so there’s no doubt that the pandemic has forced some changes already.

  4. It’s odd how I’m noticing the little things. That picture of a couple stood with luggage watching as a plane takes off stopped me in my tracks. It’s over 2 years since I’ve been to an airport and that image struck me as quite strange.

  5. Encouraging to read about some optimistic news from the travel industry at long last. After all today is Blue Monday which as the 3rd Monday in January when the weather’s grim and Christmas debts still need paying is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year.

One of my New Year resolutions was to take more holidays in 2022 which isn’t going to be a difficult one to achieve after the last 2 years.

    1. Hi Natasha… I hope you get away in 2022. I’m hopeful that many of us will be able to this year, now that omicron seems to have peaked in many countries already. Fingers crossed we are past the worst of it.
