Lauren Harby

At the age of 16, Lauren’s wanderlust was ignited as she embarked on a trip to her father’s homeland of Jordan, earning her first passport stamp. She swiftly realized that life was not meant to be grounded but rather lived in constant pursuit of awe-inspiring beauty that renders one silent on the plane ride back home. Since then, Lauren has made it her mission to explore as much of the world as possible, traveling solo with only a carry-on, and seeking out remote and rugged regions like the Himalayas in Nepal, as well as indulgent destinations such as the crystalline waters of Anguilla. For Lauren, luxury is the absence of worry, and while she’s not averse to budget travel in hostels, she believes that luxury travel can enhance the experience and provide a new perspective on the pursuit of carefree living.

  1. Lauren’s definition of luxury, “travel without worry” is pretty much in keeping with mine.

Though I’d aid plus a well-stocked minibar to my definition.

  2. A very thought-provoking post. You could put together a nice golfing tour around some of these country clubs. The courses look beautiful and challenging.

  3. Admittedly I’ve only ever made one flying visit to Florida but I had no idea that these gorgeous clubs even existed.

  4. Florida must have been way more civilised and developed back in 1911 when the Orlando country club was built. I’d always thought of Florida as a bit of a bs jester of Everglades and mosquitoes in this days.

  5. Good thinking. These country clubs offer a completely different ambience to your average hotel. I may well give one or two of them a try on my next visit to Orlando.
