These are the sort of images that make it to be my screensaver. They remind me why I’m slaving away at my desk for all those long hours.
Hi Phil,
I’m so glad! It’s hard to find pictures that do most places justice, so it’s good to hear that you found these worthy of a save. :)
This one’s going to be controversial! We’ve all got our ideas on what the perfect beach should be.
Bondi Beach wouldn’t be anywhere my top 9, let alone top 10,000. Too many people for my liking.
You’re right! This one’s going to be controversial.
What about all those beaches that are hardly ever visited around the British Isles?
If the weather’s good you can have a Scilly Isles beach all to yourself and think that you are in the Caribbean.
There are so many beautiful beaches around the world that weren’t included.
Totally agree that one person’s perfect beach vibe could be another’s worst nightmare! For instance, some beachgoers thrive on bustling shorelines and others would far rather stroll along a quiet stretch of sand.
Hopefully, some of these options still piqued your interest! :)
The beaches of Baa Atoll in the Maldives are indeed simply stunning with impossibly white sand and mesmerising crystal clear waters!
Hi Paul,
Couldn’t agree with you more. Mesmerising is such an apt description!
The Maldives ARE stunning.
And the word powder-soft comes to mind on the sand too!
I get that some people like their beaches remote, the problem with those beaches is that you don’t get the facilities. I like my beach with coffee, lunch and good showers. And I enjoy talking to some of the other people there as well.
Most of these beaches are on blue-sky days when the sun is shining and the waves are really just gentle ripples.
Don’t forget that there are days when there’s an awesome power to the sea which makes these beaches dramatic places to be.
