While it isn’t a necessity to take a seaplane to truly enjoy the Maldives, it does add a certain thrill to the overall experience. Flying over the idyllic islands does set the tone for the rest of your stay in the Maldives.
It’s always been one of my ambitions to fly on a seaplane. Looks as if the Maldives could be my big chance.
There’s always been a real sense of romance and adventure to seaplane travel. For me it’s the only way to arrive in style in the Maldives.
I’ve only been to the Maldives once and our transfer was by boat. Friends who’ve had seaplane transfers say that it really is the best way to see the Maldives spread out ahead of you.
I’ve done both air and sea transfers to Maldives islands and in my book seaplane is the only way to arrive.
For me the views that you get as you fly in are one of the highlights, if not the highlight of the trip.
My wife and I only have to see a boat and we start to feel sea-sick. It would have to be an air transfer for us.
Maldives has always been on my bucketlist and now finally I amm gonna be at my most favourite place. Definitely gonna visit one of these resorts. Very helpful thanks for sharing!!!
We’ve had some great stays with Lux elsewhere so I would love to try their Maldives property.
In my mind the Maldives is one of the great luxury holidays. If you are going to invest that much time and money travelling to the Indian Ocean then I think you should go for the full Monty and get the sea plane experience as well.
