Sophisticated lunch spots in Barcelona

Barcelona’s culinary scene is truly impressive, however with such a wide selection of cuisines and dishes to choose from, it can sometimes feel a little bit overwhelming when it comes to deciding where to eat. Luckily, we’ve narrowed down the city’s most sophisticated lunch spots, ensuring you can discover your ideal midday meal, without any stress.

Moments: Michelin Star magic

Moments is a fantastic restaurant located within one of the most exclusive hotels in Barcelona, The Mandarin Oriental. With 2 Michelin stars to its name, Moments is guaranteed to be a truly incredible dining experience.

Each Saturday this sophisticated restaurant offers a delightful lunch menu which consists of a range of traditional Catalan dishes. Opting for this lunch menu will add an authentic element to your trip, and offer a genuine insight into Mediterranean culture.

Visiting this iconic restaurant, located on the famous Passeig de Gràcia, is an excellent option for those wanting a sophisticated lunch without travelling far from the city centre.

Mikan: Authentic Asian cuisine

Mikan is a beloved establishment that brings North-East Asian flavours to the heart of Barcelona.

For those in search of a unique lunch experience, we highly recommend opting for Mikan’s menu of the day, which allows you to sample a range of traditional Asian dishes. Additionally, after exploring Barcelona’s vibrant streets, you may be in need of a cold beverage; fortunately, Mikan also functions as a wine bar, ensuring you can find a refreshing glass of wine to compliment your lunch.

Not only is the food and wine incredible at Mikan, but much of its popularity also comes from the fact that the restaurant has such a calm and cosy atmosphere, transporting visitors to a culinary haven.

Flax & Kale: Healthy eating at its finest

Flax & Kale is a flexitarian restaurant that hopes to encourage healthy eating and wellness through its creative yet nourishing meals.

Here, breakfast, brunch, and dinner favourites can be enjoyed, but with a healthy and sustainable twist. Each dish is created using only the freshest ingredients, guaranteeing the best flavours and maximum nutritional value.
